As many of you know, I believe in customizing eating lifestyles with a person’s current health status.  I typically work with six popular diet types, along with the Risa Groux Nutrition Detox.  I believe that not every person is right for every diet, and not every diet is right for every person. For example, if you are insulin resistant, are pre-diabetic or diabetic, you are probably most suited for paleo or keto. AIP is perfect for those who have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, or are likely to develop one due to genetic predisposition (if an immediate family member has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease like Hashimoto's or Fibromyalgia). You can find out which diet type may be right for you by taking this quiz. I focus on protein, fat, and fiber for every meal. Here are some recent recipes that are suited for each diet type that are also low in carbohydrates.

1. Autoimmune Protocol (AIP): Mediterranean Chicken

This is a staple in my house. It's great served over cauliflower rice!
  1. Keto: Fudgy Collagen Brownies
These are the rock star of all brownies! They truly are amazing. Because they have collagen, they have adequate protein, fat, and fiber. They are the perfect treat that won't cause inflammation.
  1. Low FODMAP: Dijon Salmon
In addition to getting your essential fatty acids from salmon, it also contains selenium, which we need for optimal thyroid function.
  1. Low Lectin: Stir Fried Cauliflower Rice
I dare you to serve this to your family and not tell them it's cauliflower- they'll never know the difference! It contains ginger, which is a great anti-inflammatory. This is a total crowd-pleaser.
  1. Paleo: Shakshuka
This is perfect for brunch, or any time of the day. Filling, colorful, and delicious!

6. Vegan/Vegetarian: Cacio e Pepe

This dairy-free sauce is to die for. I love it on zucchini noodles. Yum!
  1. RGN Detox: Detox Burrito Bowl
Detox while feeling completely satiated with this incredible dish. Full of protein, healthy fat, and fiber.
