• 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1lb ground chicken (or turkey)
  • 1 large handful of organic spinach, finely chopped (approximately 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 ½ teaspoon oregano (dried or fresh)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt


  • Preheat oil over medium heat in a large cast iron skillet.  Mix ground chicken, red onion, spinach, and seasoning in a large bowl until well combined. Divide into 6 equal portions and form burger patties.
  • Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.  Serve warm over in a lettuce wrap.

Makes 5-6 burgers
