Since I do so much whole food detoxing with my clients and see the incredible results of not just weight loss, but also regaining health and vitality, I knew that finding the right detox was critical. I have looked far and wide for a Non-GMO, gluten, dairy, and soy-free detox.

After no such luck, I decided to create my own. The RGN Detox is designed to decrease systemic inflammation, increase good gut health, and restore vital nutrients so that organs in the body are working optimally. The detox removes potential allergen foods while cleansing so you can see optimal results and focus on purifying the body.

The RGN Detox 14-day detox program consists of eating a variety of healthy foods as needed throughout the day to maintain a steady blood sugar range. It is a modified Paleo program and not calorie restrictive.


My detoxification program includes:

  • Delicious collagen protein shakes twice a day

  • Eating whole, organic, and unprocessed foods

  • Supplements containing whole foods and botanicals to assist your body’s purifying organs (kidneys, liver, and intestines) in eliminating toxins

why do i need to detox?

Detoxifying, also known as purification or cleansing, can help you remove natural toxins from your body and help maintain a healthy weight. We are exposed to external toxins everyday, including pollutants, pesticides, and chemicals. Internally our bodies produce waste byproducts as a result of normal metabolic function. Although your body is designed to rid itself of these toxins naturally, it can become overburdened. Detoxing offers your body additional support to expel natural toxins and minimize your weight, which is important to maintaining your health and vitality.

Toxins can contribute to a wide range of conditions:

  • Stuffy head

  • Fatigue or difficulty sleeping

  • Digestion and other gastrointestinal problems

  • Food cravings and weight gain

  • Reduced mental clarity

  • Low libido

how do i determine my toxic load?

Your toxic load is the amount of toxins that your body needs to process. By answering the following questions, you may gain some insight as to your current toxic load.

  • Do you or have you eaten processed foods?

  • Do you consume genetically altered food?

  • Do you eat non-organic fruits and vegetables?

  • Do you eat meat and poultry that are not free range?

  • Do you or have you ever used artificial sweeteners?

  • Do you drink soda?

  • Do the foods you eat have preservatives, additives, dyes, or sweeteners added?

  • Do you eat fast foods and/or eat out regularly?

  • Do you charbroil or grill foods?

  • Do you drink coffee regularly?

  • Do you drink alcohol?

  • Do you drink tap water?


If the majority of your answers are “yes”, then it is likely that your diet contributes significantly to your toxic load. Beyond diet, many external toxins, such as perfumes, cleaners, and pollution, add to your load. Your health care professional can help you assess your toxic load.

what are the benefits of a detox?

A detox program can have a significant, positive effect on the biochemistry of the body while allowing natural toxins and byproducts of daily metabolism to be eliminated. By participating in a cleansing program, you may notice the following:

how is detoxing different than any other diet?

The RGN Detox is not a diet. It is a program that helps you live a healthier life by cleansing, purifying, nourishing, and maintaining a healthy body and weight.

This 14-day detox emphasizes supplements and whole foods, particularly vegetables, while limiting high-calorie, refined foods, and saturated fats. Nourishing yourself with nutrient-rich foods will provide the complex combination of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are needed to protect the body and promote optimal health.

will i need to go to the bathroom frequently?

You will not feel an urge to go but when you do go, you will most likely rid more than you’re your usual amount. You will also probably go one or two more times than you usually go each day. That way you know it’s working.

will i be hungry?

I do not want you to feel hungry or starving for any length of time more than you usually would. If you are hungry, have a shake or eat veggies or something else that is permitted on the detox. You will be drinking plenty of water too.  This is not a calorie restrictive program so eat when you are hungry and don't eat when you are not. 

can i exercise?

Yes! Not excessively but 3-5 times a week is recommended. There are 14 days in which you have the opportunity to open those exit zones and release all the toxins inside. We do that through sweat, urine, bowel movements, and breath.

how much weight will i lose?

That answer varies for every person. Most women lose anywhere from 4 pounds to 7 pounds and most men lose from 7 to 10 pounds (depending on size), how much weight they need to lose and how diligent they are to the detox program.
